The first play by play voice of MNF but only the first season (1970) as Frank Gifford wasn't available until 1971.Great speaking voice and enthusiastic manner were probably better suited to the college game where he became THE announcer for college football.

Keith Jackson. And say hi to Dick Enberg.

Keith Jackson was the voice of college football for me. He and Bob Griese were a great announcing team for years. Loved his player introductions, especially his description of a massive lineman as "a big hoss of a man"
RIP

An icon in college football.

I used to love his weekly update show on Monday night.
I worked 3-11pm then and rushed home to catch his spot Mondays.
