Perhaps GLAAD could use some re-education itself.
I suspect they would, today, be far more comfortable in 1938 Germany than 2014 America. Their behavior somehow seems to fit that era more closely. Ironic, no?

Funny the way the most offended (some repressed right wingers and religious fundies) are the ones who are so self righteous (and closeted ). It is clear you can not judge people by their sexual preferences. Most educated folks don't give a shit.

Those ones most offended are those on your side of the aisle.

A & E ha the right to fire an employee who they think will cost them more than they think that employee is worth. And that's how Mr Duck got canned.
Groups and individuals do have the right to protest corporations for any reason. Insults towards certain groups and individuals bordering on libel may be grounds for a successful lawsuits. Losing your job for saying something that embarrasses your private employer–even if that is a media outlet–is not a free speech issue. It is not a 1st amendment issue. It is not a constitutional violation. It is not for Phil Robertson, Alec Baldwin, Martin Bashir, Don Imus, the Dixie Chicks, Rush Limbaugh, or anyone else. People changing the channel or not buying your products because of what you said is not “censorship”. It is the free market at work
Get over it, besides it looks to me that it was planned well and will increase ratings when the series resumes .
Ultimately citizens have the right to fight discrimination and ancient social stereotypes. Mr Duck certainly insulted a certain group.
