Wow, that's a lot of hosers heading south, eh? And that's scary since our security on the northern border is pretty lax. Are they coming south in search of good private health care, or just to get out of the great white north for the really bad months?

The dims kept saying how it was hurting government workers not getting paid ... so why did they keep voting against the bill to keep paying workers during government shut downs?

If it were from the north it would offer up completely different problems.
Most would have a compatible skill sets and speak the English language and are physically healthy and free of disease. We have some bad apples also but not ms-13 crazy.
But if your aim is to become a Socialist country you are better off relying on your Southern neighbors for that particular outlook.

It didn't make many national news because of the high school kids terrorizing the old indian beating his drum with their white privileged smirks.

1. They are not illegals until they cross the border illegally
2. If they cross at a border POE of entry and ask for asylum, they are not illegals. They are asylum seekers.
3. I understand the strain all these asylum seekers are putting on the system
4. we need more immigration judges and courts to handle these cases faster.
5. Thats the real problem. Too many asylum seekers/not enough immigration judges.

We need sensible laws that DO NOT allow ANYONE here for ANY reason without permission.
This idea of POE giving them a right to a hearing is just plain stupid.
Let them apply at our embassy's in their homeland.
Some people have legitimate reason to seek asylum.
But nowhere near the number that are coming here.
Have you listened to any of the comments by the caravans?

Caravans are boogeymen.
They show up at POEs and are overwhelmingly turned away.
It think its something like 3-7% have legitimate claims.

Why do we need a wall to stop illegal entry when they are all showing up at POEs and being turned away?

The U.S. economy was expected to lose $3 billion from the partial federal government shutdown over President Donald Trump’s demand for border wall funding, congressional researchers said on Monday as 800,000 federal employees returned to work after a 35-day unpaid furlough.
Down 3 bil. and funding absent a wall. Does not sound look like a fair deal to me. But do not worry the wall will be funded in three weeks. Such BS and I personally and a majority I speak with want this resolved or will vote out any house or senate member now holding office including the Pres.
All of these hardships suffered by hundreds of thousands of people including some military but if you need some money to pay essential bills go out and borrow it according to that demented Willy boy commerce secy. This could could happen again in 3 weeks. Are you for real!

I'm pretty sure that whether a wall would slow illegal immigration or not doesn't matter much anymore. That horse is already out of the barn. Unless republicans can convince immigrants that electing socialists and economic pinheads like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a very bad idea, the US is on the fast track to becoming a 3rd world nation. We are already a long way there given we've promised trillions of dollars in SS, medicare, and pension benefits we cannot and will not make good on. But if we keep promising more it's going accelerate the process and make the end result even worse.
