Guys like hcap used to be like that...during Vietnam for example.

Now he and those like him buy everything served to them with knife and fork in hand, ready to dine like pigs at the trough.

Oh, I don't deny them the right to do it. They aren't the government, so freedom of speech doesn't apply to them (just like it doesn't apply here on this site).

Just seems wrong, unless AJ did something unusually insane that I am unaware of...

I only took the time to watch an Alex Jones video recently. I thought he was hilarious. I'm not sure how anyone could take him seriously. He seemed like a performance artist to me. However, if he is NOT a performance artist and is trying to be serious then that is all the more reason to not take him seriously.

The reason the social media sites banned him is probably because they don't want to be regulated like newspapers and media.

Yeah I don't agree with it.

Same way your hero had her account locked down.

Thing is though it's pretty easy to get someone locked out of social media for a bit while they investigate. It's when they kick you for good like AJ I wonder.

He is bat shit crazy though.

EDIT ignore the emoji at the top don't know how i did that.

Private companies so they can do what they want.

That being said the idea that the US is a free speech Country is a overplayed concept that really does not exist.

I am for all free speech and letting people decide for themselves what to listen to.

I would have more respect for these companies if they said we dont like this guy, what he says, and what he stands for. Instead they use the new code word "hate speech" which in my opinion the same as thought control.

Lets get together and have a hate speech book burning.

Haven't been a fan since he stopped doing the Bill Hicks stand-up stuff in the mid-90s, and reinvented himself as the over-the-top 'Rush Limbaugh parody' that we know today.

This isn't a protected freedom of speech thing, but there are some interesting aspects to consider with this as a precedent. For a decent chunk of people, social-media is the internet.

Alex Jones is what he is. He's an anti establishment wild man that gives a voice to a lot of conspiracy minded people that do not do a very good job researching what they claim. However, when the founders created the 1st amendment they had a guy sort of like Alex Jones in mind. They were thinking about a guy that was spouting off anti government, anti press, and anti establishment rhetoric that those in power would try to silence.

Those in power don't care if you spout nonsense about aliens and romantic affairs in the tabloids and hurt people. They don't care if you spin and lie in ways that help them. But they do care if along with your nonsense you tell truths about how the government operates that harms them even if you get some of the details wrong.

The assumption that everything the government and mainstream media tells us is true is about the most naive position a person can take.
The left is not a fan. Whereas it sounds like you are. Why not take up a vote on PA OT tho invite him to post here. Conspiracy theories up the kazoo. Maybe he has an update on PIZZAGATE. He might just fit in
