Actually, like everything else Trump has done related to Corona, the response was SLOW, not MAJOR BIGGLY..

More Fake News From the Left
https://www.foxnews.com/media/as-dar...demic-response
Twitter declined Thursday to flag an ad criticizing President Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic as Democrat groups continue to press the issue ahead of the November election.
The Trump campaign alleges that the ad replayed Trump saying the coronavirus was Democrats' latest "hoax" without supplying the proper context. Twitter reportedly refused the campaign's request to flag the ad as "manipulated media," indicating it met the site's guidelines.
"Fellow Americans," a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, ran the ad but it's unclear where the group originated. Its website is relatively sparse and vaguely refers to opposing political division in the United States.
Fox News previously reported on how multiple media outlets similarly omitted context surrounding Trump's comments to a rally audience in February. The ad splices several statements from Trump, playing them against the backdrop of a chart showing the escalation of coronavirus cases in the U.S.
One of those quotes includes Trump's "hoax" comment but does so by combining two separate statements and not providing the words Trump said before he used the "hoax" label. "The coronavirus, this is their new hoax," the ad says. According to The Washington Post, Trump never made that exact statement but it was included in another ad released by former Vice President Joe Biden's campaign. The Post also determined that Trump wasn't calling the virus itself a hoax.

They can work from home now.
When you see how fast the virus is spreading, then see how fast Dan is spreading........not so impressive anymore.
I suspect a few posters here have pretty much been living in quarantine for a long time now......not by their own choice.

I am more worried about sick F**s like this out there than I am getting the virus - real bottom feeders. Hope Joe gets it. Then we cold say he got the WONG flu this year! Funny enough for your elk, Danny?

Not seeing anything about that - only predictions of 750,000 in NYC area.
Nothing about now.

I've found some stats on the CDC website.
According to the CDC, 12% of cases as of March 16 required hospitalization and 3% required ICU.
New York State has 11,645 confirmed cases at this moment.
That would require 1,397 hospitalizations (or 2.5 Mount Sinais) and 350 ICU beds.
New York City currently has 7500 of those 11,645 total NY cases.
That would require 900 hospital beds and among those, 225 would need ICU beds, based on CDC stats.
There are 7500 total hospital beds among the 11 Public hospitals in NYC.
Obviously, people are in the hospital for other things besides COVID-19, so not every bed is available.
Nevertheless, I'm going to predict that the hospital ship headed to NYC isn't going to see much action.
As new cases come in, older resolved cases will be heading out...also, infection rates WILL DROP as time marches forward. How can it not? Everybody is scared shitless and staying inside. No way to spread the virus very effectively. All non-essential businesses were ordered shut down tomorrow by 8pm.

BTW, seeing the response to this virus...not just here but around the globe...what will be the threshold NEXT TIME a virus appears on the horizon?
Also, now that our enemies have seen what we're likely to do in response to a virus where "80% of the people will have only mild symptoms," how encouraging it must be for them to know they can develop wave after wave of genetically modified "novel" viruses to attack us with...knowing each one will destroy our economy that much more.
We've opened pandora's box here, IMO. The world and this country will never be the same again.
The death of capitalism has finally arrived. And it was a virus, not socialists, that dealt the final blow.
