Anyone worked with Equibase in a professional capacity?

Greetings,

I've been working on a website for handicapping, sort of a BRISnet but with less focus on selling PPs by the card and way more dynamic web-based handicapping tools, angles, systems, PP viewers, etc... Always been frustrated with the lack of good free tools, and lets face it cost, of data for a beginning or intermediate non-professional horseplayer.

Which begs the question of where to get my data. So, was wondering from this group who I respect tremendously, has anyone worked with Equibase in a professional capacity? Ever talked with them about a new product\service\website using their data? Curious how open they are to new ideas and novel approaches to the game, what they're like to work with, what's the best way to reach out besides a blind email.

PM is fine if you don't feel like replying here. I'm trying to be cautious since they are the only game in town when it comes to backend data.

Thanks,
podonne
