DRF,what the @#$%^& is this??
I go to my local news stand tp pick up the most expensive
newspaper in the world, anticipating betting SAR,and MTH.
The only edition is the PM edition (6.50) containing
SAR, Presque, Penn Nat'l,MNR,CT Thistledown.
Can a DRF expert explain why MTH and SAR aren't included in the
AM edition, and/or why SAR is in the PM edition.
I believe DRF publishes a regular edition which this news stand doesn't sell.
Better yet, the vendor appears to be Pakistani, doesn't understand English, and on and on it goes...................
yes, I do subscribe to the DRF edition, simply wanted the "hard" copy,
which now = hard to get /right copy.

I don't understand that either. I would definitely want Monmouth and Saratoga in the same edition. I rarely buy the newstand edition now even though I really enjoy the paper version (it makes me feel nostalgic and I like reading it in bed!). We don't have any places close to the house to purchase it regularly so I just buy the online version.

Where do you think Crist gets the bank for his P6 wagers. Why give you SAR and MTH for $6.50, when you will pay $13.00? Hey, all of the winners are in there.

Yes, it must be frustrating when two of the most popular tracks running during the same time zone are not in one addition, at least in the area you live in.
I have a subscription to the DRF Formulator file, and when viewable on the computer screen, it looks pretty much like the printed edition except without the ads, etc. I have never tried to print it out, but I suspect I could if I wanted to. Is your DRF subscription a different type that would not allow you to print out the electronic version?

A good reason to switch to the BRIS past performances which you can get on you computer for as low as a dollar per track. I haven't bought a Racing Form in over 20 years after being a regular Form buyer. In fact, I used to buy the Morning Telegraph.

To be fair, you can do the same and much better at DRF if you buy in bulk. Ala carte is more expensive. There was a thread about this exact thing recently.
For $5.95, you can buy any three tracks, basically making your own DRF with the tracks you want. BRIS is cheaper, but some people like the look and features of the DRF. Of course with either you have to pay for the paper and toner or laser cartridge.

I didn't see the Forms, but based on past experience, Saratoga and Monmouth were in the A.M. edition.
Saratoga was then repeated in the P. M. edition as the most popular track on the East Coast (and in the country, too, of course.) I've seen this done since practically forever.

I have got admit there is something about having the "hard" copy of the form at the track. Is it worth the difference in price? Probably not.

Did they have any AM Editions? Maybe they sold out of those, and only the PMs were left.

DRF
I know this will sound bizarre, but the AM included Mth, excluded Sar.
Best part of the Story is the news stand is stuck with all the remaining
AM and PM editions and never received the regular DRF paper.
I told my friend I'd show him which(reguular) edition to order, but I'm sure he thinks I'm nuts.
Can't believe this will happen at Sar, but, while I can print the rular PPS,
I still favor the hard copy.
I will check out the Bris PP's as well..

Same here. I haven't bought a Form since it was $5. That was my limit.
But I'll always pick one off the floor at Saratoga late in the card and use it for the final few races for old times sake.

Here in Minnesota you can still get the form for $4.50 (except Saturday $5.50) if you buy at the track.

That is one screwy form you got. In Omaha today, the AM DRF had:
Sar
ElP
Pnl (they must have compromising photos)
Tdn/RD
AP
Cby
Mth
WO
