With next Sunday Oct 26th set to be the opening at Monmouth Park,
do you think sports wagering will actually happen?

It's a great question......I'm not sure what's gonna happen next week...
Would like some details on min and max bets and the menu they will take

if it was my place, i would charge as much as i can get away with and take small limits like up to $500 per game to make sure no one can get lucky and make a big score.
i would also give complimentary food and drinks

It is a 100% lock to happen. Matter of when.
Could get an injunction this week that delays the opening again, as the NFL prob want to get past the season before full legalization happens. But it's happening.

Great thread on the general racing discussion site includes lots of information on how the bill was crafted and what some feel will happen once it gets going under a "soft" opening next week. I'm sure William Hill will post somewhere what bets will be accepted and taken. Good luck to everyone playing.

You mean charge -120 or -130 on straight bets?
Morons would be lined around corner laying that 260/200

Agree, 100% lock it happens. I'd bet the GW bridge on it.

they bot people lined up in Delaware for parlay cards that have terrible odds, and they charge $120 for all 3 team teaser bets. even with those edges, i heard they lost money booking the bets in September.

Just wait till the state of NJ sees the frenzy surrounding Monmouth Park to get into the place to drink beer, bet sports, root for games, pay parking, pay admission etc etc etc.
Its going to be like Haskell day.
