Barry is the kind of player everybody wishes they could be. He doesn't play for the action and he is always looking for an edge to exploit be it in racing or any other type of gambling.
A good story about Barry, was his big winning bet in the 1995 Breeder's Cup Sprint. He shared the story with me and Dick Mitchell driving to the airport after the races. During the day Barry only had interest in betting only one horse if the odds were acceptable, that horse being Lit de Justice. Well the odds were 14.50-1 and Barry made a large bet only to see Lit de Justice run 3rd. Fortunately Lit de Justice was part of the field which included the winner Desert Stormer who could have easily paid $100 if not part of the field. A winner is a winner.
