Interesting pedigrees from this race:
Guest Suite: 3rd dam is the great Weekend Surprise, dam of A.P. Indy, Summer Squall, and Honor Grades.
Untrapped: 3rd dam is Yarn, dam of Tale of the Cat and granddam of Johannesburg and Fed Biz. 4th dam is Narrate who produced Preach, the dam of Pulpit. Since this colt is by Trappe Shot, a son of Tapit and a grandson of Pulpit, Untrapped has Narrate on both sides of the pedigree (often referred to as the Rasmussen Factor).
Even more interesting, there is another Derby prospect this year very closely related to Untrapped. Wild Shot (2nd in the Kentucky Jockey Club last November) is also by Trappe Shot. His 2nd dam is the aforementioned Preach, which means he has this broodmare (along with Narrate) on both sides of the pedigree.
4th place finisher Arklow is related to Silverbulletday deep in the pedigree. He is by Arch, as is the 3rd place horse Takeoff.
