Where will those two votes come from? Even before Kennedy announced his retirement, Jeff Flake stated that he would oppose any Trump nominee to the Supreme Court.
Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins are pro Choice Republicans. Anyone Trump nominates will vote to overturn Roe v Wade. They will vote no.

Actually, all the dems on the senate questioning Truimp's intended new Justice have to do is ask him or her if he was required by Trump to swear a loyalty oath or pledge to His Highness? And follow up with "if the president tries to pardon himself what would you do? "

They would interpret the actual law, in which case, would side with any president pardoning themselves.

Depends on her ratings
Late addition to the list of possible nominees.
It would all come down to TV ratings, though.

What actual law is that? Show me an actual law that states the President has the power to pardon himself.

She would be perfect for the liberal bloc. She makes up her own laws in her rulings.

It's alluded to in the constitution. You can argue it does not allow, but it doesn't specify inclusion or exclusion. I would guess the Supreme Court would agree he can, since is does not say he can't.
Exception would be from impeachment, which is clearly defined.
Unless they decided to write a new "specific" law into the constitution on that day.
Show me the law where it says he can't

Here is what the Constitution actually says. he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
The key word there is "Grant". Merriam Webster defines grant as to bestow or transfer formally. There us also the tradition in common law that a person can not be a judge in his own case. Those are two reasons why a President cannot pardon himself. By the way, the information about a person not being a judge in his own case comes from a memo by the Justice Department at the time of Nixon's potential impeachment. The Justice department of a Republican Administration.
However, I think you misinterpret the purpose of hcap's question to Trump's Scotus nominees. It is not whether they would legitimize a Trump self pardon. It is whether they put the law above the individual

I don't know why anybody cares whether or not he can pardon himself. He hasn't and never will be found guilty of any crimes against the U.S. Even as bad as the liberals want him to be. Never gonna happen

What people fall for on a continuous basis is that they have just been had, no one who opposes him can gain traction because he very efficiently sucks all air out of the room. I believe that statement kept several types busy and ineffective.

And the reason will be that they don't want to be associated with a party that constantly stalks public officials and threatens violence just because they can't win an argument.

Maxine Waters is the modern day Ernst Rohm.
