Jerry Stiller

Just heard on the news that comedian Jerry Stiller, who formed a great comedy team with his wife Anne Meara (who passed away in 2015), and who was the father of actor Ben Stiller, has died at age 92.

As an additional note, Jerry Stiller was also a cast member of shows such as The King of Queens and Seinfeld.

I once went to a small party in a NYC apartment back in the early 1990s. The host was friends will Stiller and Meara. I grew up watching their skits on TV. So to see them in person and mingle with them was surreal. Jerry was full of energy. Not surprised he lived to be 92. Sad day. He made the world a better place.

I remember watching him on the Ed Sullivan show!
That guy is one of the funniest people I have ever seen.
I never watched King of Queens, but started watching the daily reruns since being locked up at home.....funny show.
When he comes up from the basement and walks into the kitchen, looks around, before he says a word, I am already on the floor laughing.

- on of the great ones, who played the same character to perfection for years!

He also played non-comedic roles, such as in The Taking of Pelham One-Two-Three with Walter Matthau (who was also cast in a non-comedic part in the movie), Robert Shaw, Martin Balsam, and Hector Elizondo.
