I think the key thing here is that he is not a politician. That's a huge part of his appeal.

So all the usual paradigms and parameters have ended up in the dumpster.

I'm not even sure he'd want to be a two-term Prez.

Maybe, on both.

But the biggest question for enquiring minds wanting to know, is whether he stands for anything at all-other than himself and his interests.

Silliness. Yes, he stands for something - making America great again. He takes a huge pay cut to do this job, and when he's done, he won't make his tens of millions on the public speaking tour. He's not doing this for power, fame, money, or social agenda, unlike every other politician out there. He's doing it for love of country and thinking he can fix a lot of our problems. I'll gladly give him that chance and so will the country. Trump will win in a landslide.

How about a "landslide of Everest proportions"?

Wonder why the betting odds aren't reflecting Trump closing in the polls? Hillary is still around 2-5 at most places.

If that disqualified politicians then we could finally get rid of DC.

No, no.
That 2- 5 is what her prison sentence will likely be.

State Dept. inspector general report sharply criticizes Clinton’s email practices

These are people you would think would go out of their way to be loyal to the old hag. I think the FBI has interviewed everyone but Clinton and she should be interviewed soon. I sure hope she has to give up her campaign, sick of seeing her face everywhere.

I find this quite perplexing. These "betting polls" are usually very accurate.

John Stossel is into this, and here is a link to his site , which I think reflects the same data that Dave Schwartz posted a while back.

This Graph has Trump gaining but it is still 63.5%, 35% in favor of Clinton. Trump was at 11.4% on April 12th.

It could be because it is still early among other things and both conventions will give their respective candidates a boost, but unless these odds close further it could be a problem.

It is however still a state by state race and who gets what electoral votes.

But my question is this: Who are these people betting? Are they just punters like you and me or are they some super secret group who has insight none of the rest of us have.

election bettors are no different than horse players and sports bettors, they make plenty of mistakes. in 2000 i bet on Gore to win Florida at + 4-1. it was a great price but i got a terrible result.
i once bet on Ted Kennedy vs. Romney for the senate in Mass. laying 8/5. Romney had a less than zero chance to win that election.

It is not Clinton's emails that are go to get her in trouble. It is go be her dealing with the Clinton Foundation.

And despite claims to the contrary, Trump is a politician of the highest order. The fact that he has never been elected to office means nothing. Reince Priebus, the RNC Chairman, has never run for office. No one would deny that he is a politician. So is Trump.
