Pro football, Week 11

Thursday Night Football.

The Pittsburgh Steelers play the Cleveland Browns at Cleveland. The line is currently the Browns by 3 with a 41 1/2 over/under.

The Browns have been the biggest disappointment in football this year.Pegged to be a strong playoff contender after their solid second half last year, the Browns have been stumbling around all year and finally got their first home victory last week.Geesh, the Jets, Dolphins and Giants had one of those themselves before Cleveland.accomplished it.Still there's talent there but I think HC Freddie Kitchens might be punching above his weight.I still see a bright future for Cleveland .Last year a similar hype accompanied the 49ers and they crapped ye Olde bed. This year, the last unbeaten (until Monday) team in the NFL.

Pittsburgh also got off to a bad start and lost Big Ben for the season with an elbow injury. They have sort of righted the ship with a stout defense. The problem is that they can't
move the ball and are over relying on that strong D.The defense has scored 4 touchdowns in the last three games, a streak that is unlikely to continue.I am going to take the Browns and the over. The key is getting some early scores and forcing the Steelers to try and come back, which may result in turnovers and short fields. I hope.

YTD. 13-11 (W/L 10-6, O/U 3-5)

Split decision Cleveland won 21-7 but couldn't take advantage of the 4 turnovers they got and it was a low scoring affair.Steelers offense was horribly inept their only touchdown "drive" was more because of 4 penalties against the Browns rather than their own abilities and game ended in an ugly brawl in which Myles Garret tore off a players helmet and hit him with it. Multiple suspensions are coming out of this one.

YTD. 14-12 (W/L 11-6 O/U 3-6)

Good analysis. The Browns are an enigma, they now have one of the best backfields I've ever seen, top-notch receivers, a very good defensive front four, etc. There's no excuse for them to be a losing team. I still don't think they're doing a good job at play calling, they should be able to confuse teams more with all the speed they have on offense.

I think # 53 for the Steelers kicked Garret in the head after they threw him down. That's what happens when you rip the QBs helmet off and hit him with it.

That Brown should be banned for the rest of the season.
You can't let animals like that play.

Probably should be charged with assault in real world, too.

Browns have been an embarrassment for decades, just set a new low.
The dogs are smarter than the players. And more civilized.

Patriots (-4 1/2) over the Eagles.Mike Tyson famously said "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" When Bill Bellichik gets punched in the mouth,he most definitely has a plan. And especially when he's had 2 weeks to forge that plan

Panthers (-4) over the Falcons.Atlanta had the biggest upset of the NFL season when they thoroughly beat down the Saints. That was their Super Bowl win this year. And the inevitable post Super Bowl letdown will occur.

Patriots - Eagles kind of dullsville, too many punts and three- and-outs.But New England
did cover. And Atlanta after doing nothing all year opened their second consecutive can of whoopass, this week on the Panthers. So a split.

YTD 15-13. (W-L 12-7, O/U 3-6)

MNF

KC Chiefs at LA Chargers.

Line Chiefs by 5 (up from 3 open) , O/U is 53 (up from 49 open)

With an extra day of rest to recover from his injury, I feel the Patrick Mahomes of old will be appearing tonight.Taking the Chiefs and the over.Looking for a high scoring affair.

KC got the cover but for the fourth straight time I failed to get the O/U.I'm still hung up on picking the over too frequently.;got to study this more intensely..

YTD. 16-14. (W/L. 13-7, O/U 3-7)
