Keeping record of bets

I am looking for ideas on how to keep a log of my wagers/selections.

You can create a simple spreadsheet with Google Sheets. It's free.

And keep record of why you are making the bet, gives you a lot of information on where your head is when you are betting.

I am having a hard time knowing what to include. Date, track, race#,conditions, surface, distance, horse ,post,jock/trainer,
odds, reason for selection, result.

Am I missing anything?

I will only be logging win bets to get an accurate strike rate.

Hard to fit everything in the cells. I have to work on abbreviations.

Type of bet - WPS, Exacta, Pic5.....size of bet

You might be killing the game on win bets and losing your shirt on exactas.

Your bet qualifier as defined by you .... Five-star play? Action play? Hunch play? Quido's sure-thing?
