It's well known in the bar business, your cover charge is a tool for controlling who comes through the door. If that doesn't get you what you want, adjust the dress code 👍

if you're in las vegas get a caesar's total rewards card and go online and register for this summer's las vegas quest for rewards program.

25 tier credits of slots and 25 tier credits of tables in a single day at a casino should earn you a 200 tier credit slots badge, a 200 tier credit tables badge and a 200 tier credit property badge = 600 tier credits + the 50 you earned = 650 tier credits times eight strip casinos = 5200 tier credits which makes you a platinum member who gets FREE parking until january 31, 2019.

As the former gambling mecca of the world, Las Vegas is done.....Now home to the Raiders and an NHL franchise, the visitors get fleeced with another room Tax hike as well as "resort fees", along with escalating parking fees, 6to5 blackjacks, AND don't forget the newly installed lights on all video gaming to signal whether you've played enough to get a free drink.....Stick a fork up Vegas's ass, they're done.

BTW, I worked in Vegas 14 years at the Stardust, Maxim and Caesars Palace, the place is a rip-off for gamblers, just a shell of what it once was and will never be again....pathetic..

Vegas

Far from being done, their business model has just changed. Years ago most Vegas casinos made money on the gaming side of things while breaking even or losing money on F&B and rooms. Fast forward to today. Most larger and mid level casinos there have a revenue mix of about 40-45% from gaming with the remaining 55-65% coming from rooms, F&B and retail. In fact, most make more off of rooms than any other business segment, slots included.

From a customer standpoint, yes you get nickeled and dimed to death. Free rooms but you have to pay for resort fees and various taxes, then add on parking. Yes the parking fee was implemented recently. My last stay at the Bellagio I valet parked where it used to be free as well. Now it is $18, PER DAY. Prices are through the roof for everything. Cant wait to go back haha

With an live on-track handle of $296,284 that means each person bet less than $19.

So you have a large on track crowd but they aren't betting much?

Gee, I wonder why they might charge more for admission and parking....

No wonder the Texans are barred from the ADWs...

These days I find handle per person on live racing meaningless as it might include people that bet zip, zero, zilch on love racing and $750 on simulcasts.

You are correct, it is a shell of what it once was.

However, it will never be done or die.
