Santa Anita, R9 on Saturday, must have been a Trakus malfunction (sorry Cratos). No data is given at the Trakus site and the times on in the Equibase chart, which I assume are what Trakus posted originally, are unreasonable.

I hand timed the 9th race twice and came up with 1:15.03 both times...that never happens...never!

I'm not sure how the birds would affect the 5f call either, but at this point I'll just use what I think is the best estimate and move on.
Those damn birds: how do they keep flying in front of the teletimer when Leo's Lookin and Masterful Stride hook up? Just watched them again in R3 today: 20.69 42.69.

Issue settled. Not that there was ever any doubt in my mind.

Three races from Saturday have no recorded fractions at Sam Houston. Two 6.5f races on dirt and a 5f race on turf. Bush league.

Although I love them, you are right.

At least it's somewhat easier to hand time their races. No stupid fairgrounds trees and visible 1/16 markers in replays

Been watching a lot of Mahoning Valley replays, mostly because I'm sure the timing there is highly suspect. It really doesn't relate to that, but I can't believe they don't post fractions during the running of the race. Is it 1922 there or something?

Also, Turf Paradise is listing races with 0 run up that clearly are not zero. One race yesterday had an opening quarter of 21.39, allegedly with no run up.

Just curious....what are your thoughts on those supersonic (pun intended ) times at Seattle Downs, I mean Emerald Downs?

Parx, 3/8 Race 5, first quarter is reported a full one second too fast.

Side note, Parx still puts fractions on the screen in fifths, which is better than Mahoning Valley, but still pretty funny.

Race 2 at Penn on Wednesday has no final time given (3-9). Race 1 at Turfway last night (3-11) has no times reported, final or fractions.

Race 8 at Tampa yesterday (3-11) is reported as being run with no temp rail, but in fact it was run the same as Races 6 and 10 which are reported as being run with the rail at 22 feet.

I just checked and all three show 22 feet so apparently it has been corrected.

[QUOTE=cj]Race 2 at Penn on Wednesday has no final time given (3-9).

Last line of footnotes for Pen 3/9 race 2 says "Timer Malfunction"

Yes, the Tampa Equibase chart guy let me know it was fixed. Appreciate the quick response.
