This was a ridiculous DQ.

That is awful. 9 was in front of the other horses, what happens on a tight turn with a bunch of horses in traffic behind is their problem, not the 9s problem.

I would be livid if I hit a longshot like that and was robbed like that.

Re: Jeff Fell.

The story goes that Jeff preferred the company of men rather than the ladies. Some south of the border jocks decided to give him a hard time over his preferences and Jeff locked the jock's room door and whipped them all.

Wow Just wow another head scratcher this time at Ind Race 3

and head to head, the drifts out after some brushing by the , but not once, but twice and got up for an intimidating type of win.

I can't remember carrying a horse out like this and collecting.

The inconsistency continues throughout racing, and I am sorry to say, it's driving me away.

I thought the 8 came in 1st and the real heavy bump was after the finish. Had no interest

Interesting on air comments afterwards.

Full disclosure: I actually bet #7 MISTER J T, knew he was loaded, strike that... knew is too strong a word... believed he was loaded, and after seeing the second bump in the head on replay, also believed the stewards had no choice but to DQ #7 and place him behind #9.

Thankfully the Stewards got it right. I can't imagine any actual bettor that wants to live in a world where a winner gets taken down in those circumstances. In my opinion that would be borderline criminal.

Smile "Keep moving foe-ward"

Irad was a prodigy in Puerto Rico and came to the US to try to be a good jockey *New York horns and "Puerto Rico!!! OHHHHHHH!!!"*

Sorry. Irad was a prodigy, and he came to New York, and everyone told him to "Keep moving foe-ward". Irad has grown into one of the top 100 riders of all time, possibly high on the list.

When he's boxed in and loaded for bear, Irad is allowed to smash through.

You try to keep him inside of you? He can then smash your horse.

He had the best horse and trip (other than finding himself boxed in traffiic).

At the end of the day, You bet that horse, you want to get paid.

At the end of the day
, I go to sleep ( so I can keep moving foe-ward tomorrow ).

I'll side with Mig on this one. I don't want more DQs, but this guy is a menace to horses and riders and to a lesser extent bettors. He is basically allowed to cheat to win, something not afforded other riders on the same circuit.

I guess you could argue if the stewards won't do anything all the riders should ride like Irad. But is that really what we want for a sport, something resembling the scene from Seabiscuit where Red Pollard is riding at the bush track?

Unsublimated, eventually a clipped heels, an unseated rider , or worse... ends the fun of 'bumper car' racing.

There is a code of generally accepted rules in the Sport of Kings.

The elephant in the room;
The Mr Phil clearly wins, had the not gotten out of traffic.

A random foul of a non-contender like this that was fouled does Not cost a placing.

In this race the was kept off the contested pace to save horse, and then when he ended up boxed in - he used the foul to free his horse from the traffic.

Meanwhile the Mr Phil attended the pace, won the battle and was instantly overhauled by the fresh ... The then kept on, and was a clear uncontested 2nd.

The looked much the best! He could have won wide, and he may have slipped through as the tired and still nailed the ! The 7 was the best horse in the race today.

However the foul was the method that Irad used to get through the traffic in this instance. The foul cost the a placing.
