I drove by McDonald yesterday, and noticed two windows in the drive thru lane. The first window had a sign that said Pay Here, and the second one had a sign that said Pick Up Here.

I drove right up to the second window and said to the girl, "You come here often?"

And she said, "You ant fries with me?"

I love the $19.95 commercials. "Hurry and call now...but wait, order now and we'll send you another absolutely free...just pay an extra fee. WTF?

I think so, I realize it creates a optical illusion. It would probably take a couple tries as I am not good at welding thin tubing.

You obviously can't make the one on the Mad cover, but XTB's example is doable. That would be an interesting question to pose to a person that had a few too many, "Are either of these objects possible?"

Well, I just had to do this. Here is how to make the "Penrose Impossible triangle". It's all in the angle of your camera/vision for those that never saw this cool optical illusion. The Mad cover one is also known as the Devil's Tuning Fork.

Thanks for the video, I have never seen a Penrose Triangle before. If XTB had used an animated or Cad model I would have been baffled. Even though the welding job was nice and finish ground you can still make out the angle of the miter cuts before assembly, they are all 45's and 90's. Therefore something is not how it appears to be.

Ascending and Descending was influenced by, and is an artistic implementation of, the Penrose stairs, an impossible object; Lionel Penrose had first published his concept in the February 1958 issue of the British Journal of Psychology. Escher developed the theme further in his print Waterfall, which appeared in 1961.

Penrose before Escher.. interesting.

In this day and age, why can't "Secret Santa" be openly gay?
