Look...I have gotten into plenty of heated exchanges with the administrator here...and I have voiced some of the same complaints that you have. Yes...Mike isn't as open-minded as he thinks he is, but then again, neither am I...and, chances are that you aren't either. We all have our own particular way of looking at things...and none of us can really see ourselves as others see us. If each of us could properly reassess and correct ourselves when the need arises...then we wouldn't be having arguments of any sort here...and, you know what? This would become a pretty boring place to visit.

We must acknowledge the fact that we are all entitled to our own opinions on things...and we mustn't resort to outright profanity, or unwarranted accusations. We are not trying to cure cancer or world poverty here. All we are is a bunch of guys and gals, who happen to be united by a particular bond which brought us all together here...and we are just amusing ourselves by engaging in some idle conversation, which, when all is said and done...really isn't as important as we sometimes make it out to be.

I can speak for no one but myself...but I know for a fact that I would find it pretty boring if everyone here agreed with everything that I had to say. And...if someone's differing opinion bothered me to the extent where I would actually wish him/her harm...then I pray that I would summon the insight to realize that I am taking myself, and my opinions, a little more seriously than perhaps I ought.

What we have here is a free gathering place where we can come after a long day's work, and shoot the breeze a little bit. And if the occasional argument ensues...then we must realize that civility and common sense must prevail. We needn't necessarily agree on the things that we discuss...but we certainly shouldn't create enemies among ourselves as we debate with one-another.
