Did anyone who watches races, watch the 6th today at Saratoga??
Better yet if you accurately handicapped the race, and then watched it.


I know there is a business need to make good with the hot owners,

but lets mix it up a little bit...

you start doing this every class of race and it doesn't look good.

worse than losing a bet, I was wrong about an opinion.

hopefully some horseplayers who both handicapped the race, and watched the race with an understanding of trips will offer some opinions on the race.

I didn't bet because I had a strong opinion that the (eventual) winner had the the highest probability of winning, but was also underlayed.

don't really have time (checking in between races) to go into detail yet on the basis for my opinions on the horse, but he ran much much gamer than I had estimated he was capable of.
He ran against the grain and won by a nose but was conservatively about 5 lengths better(from the performance after seeing the race happen) than the place horse. It was a tremendous effort and display of stamina and heart for that class of horse.

never looked at the photo, it looked like the winner won on live action to me, and the result of a nose or two was not relevant to my opinion being so wrong.
