No risk of a downgrade? No risk.

April 2011...
Peter Barnes “Is there a risk that the United States could lose its AAA credit rating? Yes or no?”

Geithner’s response: “No risk of that.”

“No risk?” Barnes asked.

“No risk,” Geithner said

Tonight...

U.S. credit rating downgraded

S&P strips prized AAA status

Calling the recent deficit-reduction deal inadequate, Standard & Poor's downgraded the U.S. long-term sovereign credit rating to AA+ from its top rank of AAA. Source: CNNMoney reports.

Not to worry!!!!.....the Obama administration feels the S&P's analysis contained "deep and fundamental flaws."

He felt pretty much the same way about the U.S. Constitution, and we can see what that has gotten America.

THIS was the impending crisis that every moron in DC failed to address.
Obama, Reid, Boehner......the three biggest losers in the history of this country.

We should ban all three of them from our shores forever.

Good timing, while Obama is spending tax dollars on a fundraiser for personal reasons, he fails to do his job as prez and we get downgraded, which WAS NO SURPRISE - WE WERE TOLD HOW MUCH TO CUT SPENDING AND THE DEMS FAILED TO GET THE JOB DONE.

Had they listened to the TP, we would not have had it lowered - FACT.
The DEMS are 100% responsible for this. 100%.

This mess took the combined efforts of both parties... who now must actually
work together to fix it. Time for the finger pointing to end.

Sorry red.....I agree with your statement that it took both parties to mess it up....but they wont work together...

dO YOU really THINK THAT TWELVE people, (6 from each party) will be able to sit down and work out a deal? Not too mention, as has been mentioned in other threads, does these TWO parties really hold the interest of all americans anymore???

Ok, so they (the twelve put out a proposal)....if its NOT approved by congress, an AUTOMATIC 1.5 trillion in cuts take place across the board.....
Does anyone actually believe either party will allow this scenario to happen???

So to prevent the "auto" mechanism from kicking in, they must approve what the "super committee" comes up with .....(now i am supposed to believe that 400 plus people in the house and 100 plus in the senate couldnt agree on a damn thing WITHIN THEIR OWN PARTIES much less together, qand now they magically will???

Trust me, AMERICA has been sold down the river here.....

Paul

I never agree with you but in this case you may be right, especially in an election year with both parties fighting for control.
