No Debt Deficit Deal
All members of Congress, Obama and their staffs should be removed to the nearest jail cell for malfeasance in their responsibilities of office.
Political ideologues be damned.

I was thinking about a ticket tape parade for the repubs.
Who would have ever thought they would grow a set and not fold up like a lawn chair?
Bravo!
More TEA, anyone? One lump or two?

Me!
When all the people who doubt this and that, those who said we would not rock The House or pick up any seats in the United States Senate, I was here posting pictures of filthy bastards for retirement from The Congress. Now you can go to the thread about following the arrows from Hcap if your of a weak mind and blame the Bush folks while you enjoy some of your weed, or understand such pretty pictures are often posted by inept folks looking for more inept folks that can never understand that much has changed in the last 40 years like the numbers of people coming into our Country 40 years ago and today. Absolutely nothing can provide sustenance for the level of people coming into our Country today. Here the Bilderburgers have walked out and got their balls stuck in the door as it is closing. Without help from the left wing the Bilderburgers are going to get smoked in a good chunk of their investments. It has always been the trick of the left to hang a carrot for the sucker only for those suckers to end up with birdseed. Can you live on birdseed?

what I don't get is Obama was supposed to be so talented that he could even cause the ocean levels to recede, but yet we find out that he can't even manage to strike a deal with the wily John Boehner?

years ago i did some research on what would be better income taxes or no income taxes, to evaluate which form would bring more revenue. this was at a time when the united states was a credit nation, today it is a debtor nation. but even in the state that the economy was back then, i found in THEORY only that no income taxes would be better than income taxes. in reality the way things were back then it would have never worked because instead of spending the money, people back then would save it and it would not benefit the economy and therefore less revenue would be taken in. today we are at a different point, income taxes are very unfair to the majority of the people here, and those people are broke and i honestly believe that getting rid of all income taxes at the federal level would not only help to expand the economy but also create new jobs where it wouldn't have back in the 1970's.
as far as these guys wanting to raise income taxes now for anyone, i really think that is the worst thing that they can do.

I predict Boehner will eventually fold like an accordion. It's in every disreputable RINO's blood.

Whether Boehner,or Obama, ultimately one of the two sides have to fold if for nothing more then the public relations fiasco this is creating. sadly, very few if any politicians stickto their principles anymore.

Boehner
Hopefully, Boxcar is wrong about Boehner. He was sipping TEA at the Whitehouse meeting this morning.

The heat in the kitchen will get hot, if Obama gave up fast in this fight and worked for the people it would guarantee his reelection. The other side of the coin is there is huge money at stake and the Bilderburgers would do to him what they did to JFK and look to Joe Biden to be their lackey. There is no doubt that the pressure will increase, so the heat in the kitchen will become unbearable for both party's. If The Speaker of The House does not fold, this President's administration will be destroyed, and any hope for a public option in health care will also be lost forever. Turn up the heat!

both sides are disingenuous.
Obama is a horrible negotiator. And, everyone that he is "negotiating" with knows that he is a horrible negotiator. Obama telegraphs his "dropdead" point before things even start. For example, "don't call my bluff Eric" from a recent reported session regarding non-issuance of Social Security checks. Do you really tell somebody that you are negotiating with (or playing cards with) that you are bluffing and expect to win?
And of course negotiating about potentially raising some people's taxes with someone who religiously believes "no tax increases for anyone for any reason at any time" and that we should "starve the beast" seems unlikely to succeed. Cantor/Boehner will negotiate about raising taxes as long as we start negotiations with the bottom line of "no tax increases."

If they don't come to an agreement the economy will be in the dumps. Two options are available for Executive Order: 1) utilize the 14th Amendment and 2) mint trillion dollar coins made of platinum and release them to the treasury.

The fear is that at sometime if a deal is not reached, the Dow will drop a thousand points in a day. Rightly or wrongly the republicans will take blame for that from most people. Obama knows that. So do the republicans. The house republicans handed Obama the election in 2008 and they are about to do it again.

No Debt Deficit Deal
The American people are caught in the crossfire of a gigantic pissing contest. Guess that's what is meant by "trickle down."
Like Goren said, if the fit hits the shan, nobody in 2012 is gonna care about who stuck to their principles in 2012. Wholesale "throw the bums out" mentality will prevail.
