Maybe Turf Paradise stats are fake news?

It's not just that. How do you explain Thaskalos then?
If you're a dick, you tend to attract negative rep. Thask isn't a dick, but he isn't exactly a conservative Trump supporter either...lol
A lot of it has to do with whether you act like a dick or not...

Actually all it has to do with is Tom. Both Mosty and I had rep points in the range of 15-20. Pretty standard when you look at most others.
Then Tom disagreed with something we said, and because he has such a ridiculously high rating (please explain how that happened), he was able to zap our ratings down to 0 with just one fell swoop. I did some research, and apparently that's how it works. Someone with 100+ rep points can just demolish another user.
And not only did he take it down to 0, he took it down to less than zero. In my case, in the range of -50. So even if 50 people give me a positive point, I'll still be at 0. But at least it will be a green zero at that point
So really, JHS is right. It's not a fair system..
And BTW, how I know it was Tom who killed our rep points? He bragged about it each time after doing it.

I did not know that......THANK YOU!
But I am a fair person, so I will refrains from issuing negatives, unless it is a really dick post.
I actually tried to make amends and give you back what I took away, but I got this message.....really like the way it phrases it.....

No single person can zap another person that much....I've looked it up as well.
Here's an exchange on the vBulletin forum from 2013 (about the time the current version of what I'm running here was around)...the reply was from someone who works for vBulletin:

So, if I spend 5 years getting to 1k points, I can instantly give 1k to a member who just signed up today by clicking the add to this users reputation once?

Nope. Not only do they not get your reputation points, you would have to spread the reputation around to 20 different people before you could rep that person again. It's not easy to 'rig, and I would not take kindly to someone that even tried.

I will give Dan positive REP to see if it brings him all the way back up...if what he says is true, it should...but then again, maybe things work differently if the ADMIN gives rep...let's see what happens...
OK, I brought you back to 14...so how many points did you get from me?
All 71? You were at -57? If Tom had given you -100, you should have been way less than -57, correct?
I don't think Tom was able to hit you with -100. And I don't think I was able to give you +71, just like the guy from vBulletin stated...

I don't like it or use it because it is anonymous. Most of us opt to use an anonymous "identity" here to begin with. You have to be really paranoid or insecure to hide your anonymous identity behind another layer of anonymity.

You gave me points. I was at -42 when I looked earlier today.

I gave FantasticDan a positive vote about 2 weeks ago...but my 34 rep-points didn't do him any good. His rep scorecard remained at red-zero.

I got "bad reputation" from someone who called me a "constant instigator". And all this time I thought I was the PEACEKEEPER around here.
