Yesterday's (10-12) 3rd at Belterra was hand timed, but the hand timing is not well done.

Yes, I was watching this race. First quarter was something like 34 and the half was something like 58. Slow horses, but not THAT slow.

Some big time troubles with TRAKUS at Woodbine today. Only G1 races, who cares, right?

i believe the trakus times for the 8th & 9th were fine apart from there being no run-up time; strange that they would change one and not the other, even if it doesn't make a lot of sense

That is a pretty big "apart" though. You can't include run up time for some races and not all.

I was all set to scrape TRAKUS data but I've reconsidered given the high number of errors I found in their data. It's troubling when their equipment fails but inexcusable when they continue to put out sloppy data.

It has gone downhill a lot in my opinion, particularly since Pat Cummings left.

Not really a timing error, but NYRA labeling the track "good" for the last race on Sunday 10-30 is highly misleading seeing how the very same course was labeled as "good" two races earlier. Weather changed drastically before the 9th and the final times were 6 seconds apart.

I was there LIVE. That 9th race Turf Sprint should have been labeled sea of green slop LOL. GD????? Seriously.

Arlington 5th race on Sept 17th the half mile fraction is off @ 2 seconds. If you watch the replay the screen says 41 3/5 half after the race. Whoever retimed the race has to be off. Horse who finished 2nd is running tomorrow at Fairgrounds in 8th race, Outback Jack. He can certainly win, but should not be given credit for racing just off an 44 3/5 half.

Bet down to 4/5, he couldn't make lead in 46 2/5 half, and tired. People were betting him off that false fraction at AP, and the move to La Breds..

Nice catch on the AP race.
A few from Belmont:
10/22/2016 R2
10/23/2016 R1
The 1/2 mile fractions of these 6f races are almost assuredly wrong.

10/26/2016 Belmont R1, same thing, half mile fraction is wrong. Use Trakus.

also, this is too amusing not to share:
in the 6th race at AQU on saturday Armoire was presumably mistaken for a loose horse in the finish-line photo which will make her lackluster 8th place finish look much different then it ought to, jeez.
