This horse is still in the pps. Just not "on a platter" as in the past. Part of the larger product, one needs to remember what designates the rule. That's all. Like on Sunday at Monmouth, Rainbow Heir, was classic 3L. Right by the rule.

Grits - learned from the best. Some playable horses today too. 1st race there were 2 (one winner), 4th race there were 2 (one winner) and I gave Filimbi a look in the 7th and Palace in the 8th.

It has been a very nice few weeks for the TimeformUS figures in stakes races around the country.
Here is an example in the Test:

Bennie, the 4R? In the above box, the 8 and 12 were, each, a 4R horse. They were equal in high figure, though the 8 had the higher odds. Sorry, I'm not discussing what constitutes those Rs of old days. (Value's hard enough to find at Saratoga now.) Keep looking for the invisible underline, too. There's still a couple of shortcuts.

Grits - Saturday was a good day at Saratoga and they don't come often. If I knew Palace Malice was going to finish up the track it could have been a great day. He cost me the pick 4 and the pick-6. Fortunately, I only played a $4 ticket on the pick-6, with 5 singles. Went 2 deep in the 9th. The other races looked easy with the 2 L3 horses I mentioned earlier, Palace Malice, Granny in the 6th and Big Blue in the 11th. I thought once I got past the 9th and only had palace Malice and Big Blue Kitten to run, I had it locked .
Live to fight another day.
Sunday I had 5 winners and lost money.

Bennie, live to fight another day, indeed, YOU WILL!! And to think, Pletcher's been quoted, saying, "PM has me scratching my head, I don't know".
WTF! ( Well That's Fine, this time, maybe the other words, the next.) Anyway, I sure hope he figures out why his Grade 1 champ didn't run a lick. I'm sure you'd love to know, too.
Another weekend's just days away, Bennie.

It goes back almost TEN years. (This might be a record around here for resurrection!) Its about the Pace Figures, back in their infancy. Cj was bringing them to light after years of fine tuning.
Today, we could call it, "In the Beginning... a Decade before TFUS".
Questions, data gathering, support, CSPs, LSPs, 3Ls, 4Rs, etc. Its a good read. The figures got their start, right here ... with a lot of help from these gentlemen. You included.

Nice article by Benoit. I've been using CJ's figs for years. Without them I dont feel confident in my wagers, or at least as confident as one could feel.
