Races 4-8 cancelled after Race 3 was declared a no contest after a loose horse running the wrong way nearly caused a horrible accident.

No comment from management regarding the sudden cancellation.

Yes, the #6 Project Thunder almost collided head-on with #1 Don't Poke The Cat and Luciano Hernandez. Peter Berry did mention all horses and jockeys were safe before they signed off.

the no race was the right call, even though i had the exacta. Peter Berry is a great announcer.

The Mahoning stewards appropriately ripped one of their riders for likewise persisting in a no-contest race. That's dangerous and merits action. Jocks know what the siren signifies. Watch Barrios and Mayta ease off lower turn, but then sit down and start riding AGAIN after the loose horse blows by them heading the wrong way.

Plus, consider the needless wear and tear on those first two finishers. For all purposes, those horses put forth a full effort.

Word is, those two jocks have been called to a hearing this morning. And their fellow jocks have rallied to their support.
