Haven't updated in a while because, to be frank, it has been really tough. After coming home, she had to go back in the hospital a few days later. She had some issues with fever and bad pain and they couldn't figure out what was happening.

The kidney is working well and no signs of rejection so that was ruled out thankfully! Eventually they found an infection in the incision from surgery that was causing the problems. She was released back home today and things are finally looking up. It has been a rough last two weeks. Still some work to go but hopefully downhill from here.

I'm doing very well, should be back to 100% by the end of this month.

Thanks cj. Glad to hear the problem wasn't with the kidney itself.

And reading you say things are finally looking up for Lindsay is very encouraging.

And very happy to see you are doing very well too!

All the best from here on out. Young people having health problems they did not bring on themselves just isn't fair.

She came home last Monday, still hasn't kicked the infection completely, back in for a couple days today. She's going to get something called a wound vac she'll have to wear for a few weeks. I don't know how she keeps fighting.

She was born with the love of life, from the day that you got to take her home for the first time up until now you and your family only fortified the love. That is all anyone can really say except that everyone here is pulling for her and your family for the best.

A friend's daughter had one of those after open heart surgery, it turned out ok. Still sending prayers and good thoughts.
