Randy Moss Pace Numbers (DRF Files)

Some may consider the deluxe DRF files expensive and I might tend to agree with them.
Then there are those that might say you only get what you pay for.
I myself was never a user of these files but as of late my interest in pace has been revived.
I was an avid follower of PaceAppraiser. Unfortunately, it is no longer available so I am looking for options. My focus is now on the "Randy Moss" pace numbers.
Possibly, someone on this board percieves these numbers which are included in the deluxe DRF Files along with the Beyer numbers to be a good Value at the price.
Any feedback would be most welcomed.
How good are these numbers?

Hey neighbor, I live minutes from you in Nesconset...anyway I am big into pace projections for all races. For years I used Bris because of their Quirin running style and pace points. Was very successful using them. Then found CJ's Pace Figures program and I loved it. CJ incorporated both Quirin styles and early pace #'s along with his very accurate speedfigures into a Bris replace program.

After they ended I went to DRF this past year and tried to make my own style pts and 1st call pace ratings but that was using up too much of my handicapping time. So I'm heading back to Bris for the fall Belmont meet using Bris from Twinspires.

Actually, I moved to Lake Ronkonkoma over 2 years ago when my wife passed away.
I guess you are even closer to me then you thought.

Thank you for the response.I was a strong proponent of the Randy Giles Methodology and had a great success with it.
I would have used CJ's software but he closed off the membership and the software and numbers weren't available to me at that time.
CJ's numbers are strong and I'm sure TimeformUS is a great tool but not something I would wish to use at this time.
As far as I'm concerned the simplicity and accuracy of PaceAppraiser will never be matched.
I was hopeful that the Moss numbers would be a replacement for PaceAppraiser.

I am not versed in the Brisnet pace numbers and will look into them.
I do know that the Brisnet Quirin speed points and running style assessment is far from being accurate and can even be misleading.

Parts--good to hear from you. How are you doing?

You will not go wrong with Storm's recommendation using Bris numbers.

Pace Predicting

If anyone on this board used the Bris Run Style/Speed Points to predict the pace of the race, I'd love to see those predictions ahead of time and see how accurately you can predict the pace of a race.

Gee, I didn't consider giving out Mike Hogan's twitter ID as advertising. I thought I was answering a question.

That isn't the advertising part, it was after that. I'll leave it to PA to decide, I'm obviously biased.

What is a webinar?

I am more than happy to answer any and all questions here on Pace Advantage about the pace and speed figures and also the early and late speed ratings and the pace projector. I'll be happy not to just answer but also provide screenshots and examples and the like. I can also talk about adjusted fractions, weight, and anything else that is figure related.

A quasi-YouTube presentation

Thanks. I really appreciate the candor of the participants. Have only listened to part of one so far and hopefully the others are similar.
