FIBA

Is anyone watching this? I caught minutes the other day. When the USA's best players are Seth Curry and James Harden, I think it shows a lack of interest among players in the NBA.

Maybe their contracts forbid it, or they are afraid of injury, I sure don't know, but it's definite this is nowhere near the team the USA could put on the floor.

Today @ 3PM vs. France. Host Nation Brazil, and I believe the favorite, hs been knocked out.

There are a lot of factors. Since the best players started playing again after some embarrassing losses, the USA has been annihilating every team they face. I imagine it is getting a little old for the stars, particularly when you keep in mind most of them are making deep playoff runs every year. They get no time off when they play. They'll still show up for the Olympics. Obviously the Paul George injury opened some eyes on that front, but I think that is a minor issue.

Interesting article on the USA playing these games with stars, I tend to agree with the author.

I hate that Irving got the mvp, it's going to make it harder for him to put his ego in check during the regular season.
