Last four Saturday Exacta Payouts

I’ve been playing almost exclusively the exacta on Saturdays, the last several weeks. Just for fun I thought I’d look at the results of the following tracks and what they paid ($1 Exacta payout) over the last four Saturdays.
Attached is the raw data I used to calculate the “Median” payout of these tracks. As we know, the median is not the average but represents the “middle” of a sorted list of numbers. For example, the median payout for Parx is $19.85 , meaning half of the exactas paid over $19.85, and half paid under $19.85. I feel this is a more accurate assessment than average because an average can be skewed by a few extraordinary large samples.

TRACK -Median
1.AP-Arlington $28.05
2.CD-Churchill $23.50
3.EMD-Emerald downs $21.45
4.PRX-Parx $19.85
5.BEL-Belmont $19.25
6.CBY_Cantebury $19.20
7.MNR- Mountaineer $18.50
8.SA_Santa Anita $17.40
9.MTH-Monmouth $12.25
10.DEL-Delaware Park $10.15

As you can see Arlington paid the highest, and Delaware Park paid the lowest. I didn’t take into account field size. Feel free to add that factor into the equation here, if you want.

I can understand Monmouth being next to the bottom. Paco Lopez is ripping them apart. After 155 mounts he has 55 wins, 33 seconds and 22 thirds. A win percent of 35% and an ITM of 71 %. His current earnings are twice the amount of the closest jock to him. It has gotten to the point that if he went to the gate with a three legged horse, the crowd would still make him the favorite. I have had an almost impossible time finding any value. I stopped wagering there. Thanks for the info. Probably a good time to look at EMD.

Useless without adjusting for field size, unless you postulate that hitting an exacta in a 5 horse field is the same as hitting one in a race with 12 horses.

I think we can agree it isn't
