Catch A Glimpse

Surprised no thread about her yet. What an impressive filly she is.
Never been beyond 1m16 and goes 1m1/4 today and gets it done.
She's seems better going shorter (being by City Zip) but she was all class and all racehorse today, as usual. Ran faster than the colts in the Bel Derby.

Question to be posed is...how would she fare against Tepin going 1m or 1m16 ?
I would love to find out!

Loved her today, all guts at the end of every race. She would probably have to get a little better to beat that horse but its not out of the realm. She has the kind of high cruising running style that gives her the advantage in almost every race. Even if she doesn't make the lead, she gets first jump. On these harder, summer courses, its a no brainer.

At this point in time she'd have no chance, but she'll get faster as the year goes on most likely.

Definately, Tepin would stomp her right now. That is not to take anything away from her performance today. I thought 3-1 was generous with her being the controlling pace.

Tepin routinely runs 130s on my speed figures now. Attached is Catch a Glimpse's lifetime PPs before today...she ran 119 today.

Couldnt agree more with the 3-1. I was shocked she went off that high. Took these at the start

She's a terrific filly, but she caught a little break when #13 Coolmore hit the gate at the start and more or less got left. Spencer rushed up to try to get back in it, but Catch a Glimpse was already loose. I can't say whether a clean start would have changed anything, but I think had #13 broken cleanly and Spencer wanted to go early anyway, Catch a Glimpse would been under more pressure early.

She breezed 4F about a week ago after a minor setback in her training.
