As a blind follower, you are missing the part of Benghazi happening just before an election where the president was claiming terrorism not an issue. The most transparent administration since 2010 lied about cause, effects and the real reason being a result of their efforts to remove Omar Kadafi.

I do not recall any claim that terrorism was not an issue. Their were claims that much progress had been made in fighting terrorism, but no one thought the problem was solved.

AFAUSSS has issued a statement condemning the book as a self serving attempt at making money. AFAUSSS? Association of Former Agents of the United States Secret Service. The same story has statements from several former and current agents saying that Byrne was never in the front line of presidential protection and could not have witnessed the things he said he witnessed.

I heard a portion of an interview with Byrne over the weekend. He comes across as an honest fellow, though of course his true motivations must be suspect - since they don't align with the Clintons. He mentioned how Carter was an ass, too busy to say hi in the morning to agents, and doing the fake carrying of <empty> luggage as a photo op.
