I can see it now. 3-5 morning line favorite in a $3K claiming race at Penn National, or Los Al for Californians, is available to bet at 2-1, or higher, on the exchange.
Sure, we'll lay your $5K, sir. More, if you would like........

These are situations that wise gamblers know how to avoid.
They are, also, just what the anti-exchange lobby needs to spread fear.

No chance, Charlie D.

Yer, but integrity is not a thing US racing is big on now what with numerous trainers with drug violations still going about thier business. So they should probably look to point finger into mirror first

Oh and h4c BF markets are not exactly ghost towns are they despite KF etc

I agree entirely.
That still won't bring exchange betting to the US.

I can see it now above market - Money Matched = 5 million dollars, money matched on Classic = 50 million dollars

Betfair made a losing bet....

Betfair does have their foot in the door. That does not guarantee success.

I would love to see exchange betting come to be in California. I live there.

Much legislation is proposed that fails- especially when it comes to gambling.

Believe me, I will not enjoy saying "I told you so".

When word gets out that exchange betting is "self-bookmaking", it goes the way of the buffalo.
