The only way to prevent any part of this mess in retrospect would have been that if China were to honest with the world 3 months earlier and for the USA to stop all international flights into our country sooner. The rest of the world did not find this preventable because they are proof positive as the world struggles. There are people here on this forum who have had family members who did not make it. And realize that they were very vulnerable because of lifestyle choices that were in fact very preventable. The whole premise that society can prevent people from being destructive to themselves is ludicrous. You should find the village that it takes and go to it.

18.5% of the COVID deaths.
