The Derby is in September this year (if it happens), so there was no Derby prep at Aqueduct.

I heard 150+ Boston Hospital employees have it and are sick?
This is suffolk
This is Bunker Hill CC, by the prison point bridge. Boston is Zip-Tie 'ing all its hoops to discourage groups.

to NYRA for using the Big A in a positive manner.
I am sure it will not be the first time that some of these guys will have been in need of a respirator at the track!

I would think that there are a lot more idle buildings that would be better suited to serve as a hospital, like schools?

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say Aqueduct isn't going to see much use as a hospital for COVID-19...

I hope you're right, PA, but it's nice to know that the preparations are ongoing in case you're wrong. The big white ship with the red crosses in NY Harbor is a "comfort," too for the city.

The various hospitals in Queens and Manhattan are in a crisis; Elmhurst General is about 30 minutes from Aqueduct; In addition the track could serve as a Hub for Howard Beach and Far Rockaway..

The COVID cases in NYC will be exclusive to hospitals, all other cases will be sent to the interim hospitals according to the governor.
