example
I graduated for one of the 3 top NYC high schools.
one year I failed the regents test in physics.
took the course over in summer school and got an A on the regents.
One year later, one of my best buddies (we were a neighborhood of about 6 of us that went to the same school) asked me to take the regents physics test for him.
"He" passed.

one more.
While in the Army Corps of engineers, Korea '57-'58, I volunteered to lead my platoon (in training) through a field to a marker about 2 miles away. We got lost.
the entire company was sent out to find us in the dead of night
We spotted them, because they used the headlights on several trucks to shine a light over the field. Got back in time for a late dinner.

There are so many more. I entertain my kids with them.

I'll leave out the boring accomplishments other than to say, so many of my family and friends are a lot smarter than me. What a lucky guy I am.
