If you record your daily "churn," it will really surprise you

It is my first year and I have 746 bets and a .-0.13 negative ROI. I had a positive ROI at Saratoga and Indiana Grand but squandered away a lot of money betting too many tracks and trying for big scores (Superfectas and Trifectas). I did far better with win bets.

I find it extremely hard to believe that anyone makes a profit betting on this sport. Yeah there are those few who get extremely lucky hitting some life changing pick fives and sixes but for most comes a negative ROI. I imagine for the amount of money a lot of people lose on horse racing they could actually own a valuable horse and pay its monthly expenses and still come out better.

I've been extremely fortunate this year. $0 returned / $0 bet.=0. I spend so much time (perhaps 12 hours a day) handicapping the public tote boards I don't have the time to bet

I've matched you this year, except for the 12 hours a day category.

Too many ADW's to add up

Twinspires gives you good options to get years bets...

DRFBETS.......Ridiculous....need to add month by month....

I believe it might be around the 1200 numbers....

If I lose between $500-$1000 , its an average year....

tack on Data......$2500 loss total

Did you ever think maybe at some point you'd be better off visiting soup kitchens or helping old ladies cross the street or doing pretty much anything productive rather than spending 12 hours a day researching information you'll never use?

...or talking about stuff on a message board that even you don't think is worth your own money to believe in?

With the money I save not betting, my donations get larger every year

Hopefully, the stuff I post here gives some a clearer picture of the money part of the game.

Let me say here, that years ago I was such a bad handicapper, my bookmaker actually gave me a tip on a Frank Martin horse... It won.

Why would anyone listen to your ideas on "the money part of the game" when even you won't back it up with your own money?

You can do whatever you want, and my guess is few, if any, pay any attention to your posts, but I think it's realistic to ask why even one person should believe in what you say when even you don't believe in it. Arguably then, it's bad if even one person listens, which means you do a disservice by posting.

Now that I think about that time, he must have know I was a promising "client"
He gifted me with a Tiffany tie clip with the engraving "FORMULA"
