Nice to see something GOOD again
When I was a kid, Red Sox pitcher Luis Tiant was warming up at the Oakland Coliseum on the sidelines...when he finished and was walking back to the dugout, I called out :"Hey Luis...toss the ball". He had his warmup jacket on, hiding his name on his jersey--he may have been surprised a little kid knew him, in Oakland. He walked over and handed me the ball.
That simple gesture given to an unknown kid, made me a fan of Luis' for life. I followed him the rest of his career.
I'm sure the kid in the video will never forget this day--or the players act of kindness.

I like your story better, Greg. I may even have a Luis Tiant Topps card in my meager 1969 shoe-box collection.

It's a little sign of how far our country has fallen into the shithole...adults would never think of depriving a kid of a ball or a puck at a professional sporting event. They would GO OUT OF THEIR way to give a kid the souvenir.
Not any more.
A further sign we're a complete dumpster fire of a nation is when kids don't give two shits about getting a souvenir or even going to a ballgame. I'm sure that's just around the corner...

El Tiante is one of the most beloved athletes to ever play in Boston. Red Sox took a flyer on him when baseball pretty much gave up on him. One of the greatest comebacks ever. Went to Fenway and watched him pitch in the 70's... a treat to watch with all his different windups and motions.

That woman in the video is a total Karen.
Like I would have given the kid the puck any day if he/she wanted it just because I’m nice

LOL Duncan Keith was deliberately giving the puck to the woman (uh, notice her sign) - the kid just happened to be next to her.
