He's here striving for attention. Substance really isn't important.

i don't take political advice from 26 year old parks and recreation graduates (?) so i tuned in to watch the colts, the team i enjoy following.

before the game coach reich was on his knee like a little b**** and during the game he coached like a little b****. (if you find my language offensive, note that it would be quite tame for a rap lyric). GRADE F in play calling, game plan, and OVERALL TEAM PREPARATION in a pathetic loss to the lowly jaguars.

fortunately this fan grades on body of work so FRANK get off your knees and get to work doing the job you are paid to do.

Easy fix for the National Anthem after displaying President Trumps image on the scoreboard the announcer states

Please stand for the National Anthem or please kneel for the President of the United States of America.

NFL ratings, Week 2: Most games tick upward in final numbers

Critics of the NFL who claim that “politics” are forcing millions to tune out of NFL games may need to rethink their positions ... unless they wish to believe that fans disgusted with the NFL’s turn toward social justice tuned into the Thursday night game, out of the early CBS game, into the Fox game, out of the late CBS game, and then back into the Sunday and Monday night games.

Competition for eyeballs is likely the primary reason for all ratings fluctuation in sports right now; we’ve never had a period in sports history where all four major sports, plus soccer, tennis, golf and NASCAR, are all playing at once. The NFL’s hardcore fans continue to tune in, regardless of politics, while casual fans may find themselves drawn to other sports ... or, in some cases, away from the television altogether. (Some analysts have speculated that with much of the nation still under some form of quarantine lockdown, many Americans are spending the last few days of summer outdoors, and away from their TVs.)
Context also matters; regardless of declining ratings, the NFL is still the biggest draw on TV

mr busbee fails to mention that tv ratings should actually increase since they're locking roughly a million serious fans out of the stadiums every week.

91 of the 100 highest-rated programs on TV last year were NFL games. Rules the ratings and is worth more than any TV property in history. Why? Because the old white people who claimed they would stop watching didn't stop, and the NFL is one of the few things people younger than 35 bother to watch on TV.

Average of 151 plays per game averaging 8 seconds per play = 15 minutes of total playing time. The remaining time are commercials and replays. Boring.

Kneeling is still a thing?

I thought the NFL had moved on to other silliness.

It is only boring if you don't bet. Even if you just wager who buys the pizza and beer it makes it much more exciting.

In the OTB I went to in Cali there was a regular in a wheel chair who would ask for help to stand for the anthem when it was shown on the screen at the first track to open for the day. I have seen the same thing at our small local Nascar track. I think if you knelled at a Nascar track someone would toss you down the bleachers.
