Santa Anita and the BCJ

You're list shows the Breeders's Cup Juvenile was run @ Churchill Downs. The BCJ was run at Santa Anita . . . might wanna check the fillies too.

Thanks, I'll always forget that when I update from the previous year!

Nadal ran a 112 in his maiden win on Sunday.

Meant to note that I've coded the spreadsheet to bold the top three figures for both the Oaks and the Derby.

cj- can you explain why the Smarty Jones stakes received a slightly hot pace overall when the first three 1/4's were rated slightly cold? Im assuming that is what you are showing, and if it is not then set me straight.

That pink coding on the left means the track was speed favoring, horses on and near the lead did better than expected by a a good amount. It doesn't have anything to do with pace.

The pace does have an effect on that rating though. The fact the pace was slow raises the expectation pace horses would in fact do well, so this race is rated less heavily then others.

For this race in particular, we're saying it was a slow paced race on a speed favoring track. It is very possible all the off pace types have a legitimate excuse.

Thank you for taking the time to do this again this year!

What fig did you give to Monday Morning QB in the Withers? Finished fourth, had a less than ideal trip.

(btw, the spreadsheet title still says 2019, not trying to bust balls, just trying to help, it's an easy thing to miss)

I'll fix it, thanks. I just removed the part about being "DQed to 17th" from the bottom this morning after posting.
