I don’t think it is very likely that he returns, i’m actually nervous about this being career ending, seeing that it’s his 5th concussion.

I wouldn’t read into Crosby skating today, it was probably a baseline test to see if skating would activate a headache. He probably passed the first test on the stationary bike, which is good news if he’s on the ice today.

Sid needs to take a step back and think about his future, he has nothing left to prove in the game, he’s won everything there is to win.

From what we know about Chronic Traumatic Enephalopathy and athletes concussions, he should retire.
The health price on his brain down the road is just not worth continuing on.
He's a great player, but that many concussions is too many to risk more.

Thanks buddy! I may never live to see the Caps win a Stanley Cup but I'll go down with the ship!

I'm not sure how the Oilers recover from that loss last night. Hoping Sid returns and the Pens wrap it up tonight.

What the heck happened? I went to bed and it was 3-0 Oilers with six minutes left?

The Oilers were ahead 3-0 with 4 minutes remaining.
The Ducks pulled their goalie.
The Ducks scored two quick goals and then a third with 15 or so seconds on the clock.
The third goal appeared to be the result of goalie interference by Ryan Kesler with his arm tugging on goalie Talbot's right goal pad.
After a very short review, the goal was allowed to stand.
The Ducks then won it in the second OT period.

Except for gripes about the officiating that I've had, the Ducks are deservedly ahead in this series.
It will be a real uphill climb for the Oilers to win the next two games.
In actuality, the GM Peter C. didn't expect the team to get this far so didn't load up at the trade deadline, citing "We're not there yet. We're a growth team."
The playoff games have allowed him to assess what holes he has to fill in for the Oilers to be a true Stanley Cup Contender.

Thanks for the recap. I set the replay to record later. I remember asking on Twitter why Columbus didn't pull there goalie when they were down three with like four minutes left in an elimination game and was told it was bad sportsmanship. I laughed at that one. What difference does it make if you lose by 3 or 5?

It really does seem like the rulebook goes out the window in the playoffs in the NHL. I don't get that.

And you wouldn’t be wrong about the officiating, it’s been a gong show throughout the playoffs. It certainly appears that Gary doesn’t want a Canadian team in the Conference Finals.

If you’re going to waste 5 minutes of my time with a “coach’s challenge”, the least you can do is get the call right, video review has accomplished nothing.
The “offside challenge” after every goal is starting to get on my nerves.

I agree, the Oilers have overachieved, and have nothing to hang their heads about. Isn’t it wonderful what a proper GM and Coach can do for a team?

That’s not bad sportsmanship, that’s bad coaching.
