Man, he just appeared with one of his pitchman buddies on late night tv...he looked robust and healthy then......

There may be some news to follow.

Too bad, I always liked his enthusiasm, although the volume on my remote was heavily employed!

Wow, check this out from TMZ!

http://www.tmz.com/2009/06/28/faa-bi...belt-on-plane/

Excerpt:

Here's what we know -- Billy Mays was aboard US Airways Flight 1241 flying from Philadelphia, which landed roughly when the front tire blew out as it touched down. After the flight, Billy told FOX 13 in Tampa that something struck him in the head -- here's Billy's actual quote:

"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

Billy May's loud commercials caused me use to my mute button many times. There were also days that I would not turn my TV on, just so that I wouldn't hear his voice. I hoped that he would find a line of work that would keep him out of my house, but I never wanted anything bad to happen to him.

My condolences to his Family & Friends.

This hitting the head death also occurred recently to an actress while skiing, a cerebral hematoma ? blood massing in the brain and the person just has a headache and is dead the next day after not seeking treatment

That would be Natasha Richardson, wife of Liam Neeson.

I'd make that by far the most likely cause of death. All signs point to that.

What would be the odds of going out like that...geez. What if it was a tub of Oxiclean?

He said he was hit on the head when an airplane he was on made a rough landing Saturday, and his wife, Deborah Mays, told investigators he didn't feel well before he went to bed about 10 p.m. that night.
Wow, it's difficult for me to believe they didn't make the connection between his head being hit during the landing and not feeling well later that night.

Me thinks they are implying the connection and awaiting an autopsy before contacting the lawyers. Wonder what the airlines liability is in such a case with a rough landing and blown tire.

Here is the final interview from Fox-Tampa. Toward the end of the interview, he also mentions he had surgery on his hip just last Monday.
