Woodbine Turf Course Article

In conjunction with racing commencing on the turf at Woodbine last week, I was honored to be asked to write this article about handicapping some of those races, and wanted to share it here for those that didn't yet see it.

I notice you didn't talk about gate placement. Doesn't the amount of the run-up make any difference in the stats?

I had not considered different run-ups when querying for the stats. It might have been interesting but the sample sizes for individual run-ups, particularly with so few races run on the Inner Turf, might have been pretty small. If I have a chance this week I'll take a look though. Thanks.
