I'm surprised BRIS is giving away free PPs since Canterbury is officially partnering with 1/st bets this year.

Apparently the takeout on pick-4/5 is 10%. Can anyone tell me what the current takeout is on Win and Exacta bets? I'd love to bet their track...just need to know their rates.

Call me crazy but every track hides this info... and it's one of the most important things that every track should advertise.

I currently have them at 17% win bets and 23% on exactas... can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks Jeff Personally I'm not much of a pick 5 player, but at 10% I'm sure I can learn fast

And as far as I know, pretty much every state sets it and publishes it.

Rates at that link aren't current.

For California they have:
Quote:
California
(Takeout - 15.43% for win-place-show & 20.18% on exotic wagers for Thoroughbred; 15.63% for win-place-show & 20.38% for exotic wagers for Quarter Horse meetings; 16.43% for win-place-show wagers & 24.18% for exotics at Harness meets; 16.77% for win-place-show & 21.52% for exotics at Fair meetings.)
Off the top of my head, current rates for California Thoroughbred or Del Mar, Golden Gate, Santa Anita:

WPS: 15.43%
DD, EXA: 22.68%
TRI, SUPER, PICK3, PICK4, & PICK6: 23.68%
EARLY PICK5: 14%
LATE PICK5: 23.68%

They had to declare the battle of the surfaces a no-contest a few years back because of a starting gate synchronization problem.
