It's baffling that they had the timeline so wrong. They should've known immediately from the security guard that the shots started, stopped, or kept going from the point where he was shot.

I ignore all the amateur sleuthing, at least for now. We'll see where this story ends up, and then if the evidence supports it.

It's odd. Someone needs to find out where he got his money.

Why is that?

How did the security guard know NO SHOTS where fired while he was riding up in the elevator? Did the security guard have the need to know exactly what time it was when he got to the floor/room or was he just doing something that he probably did many many times before and was oblivious to the timeline.

He was shot in the leg, and didn't go unconscious. He therefore would've either heard shots after that time or not. The original timeline was that there were no shots fired after he was shot in the leg except for the one shot in which he supposedly killed himself. Now it's that he was shot in the leg first, before the firing commenced on the crowd. That's a pretty big error to make in the timeline.

I'm not expecting him to know exactly what time it was, only what transpired before, during, and after he got shot.

I'm not jumping to conspiracy, only that there are oddities and unanswered questions. I'm not actively playing internet sleuth either, waiting for official reports/news instead.

But I thought the original timeline was that the security officer was shot, and then he was found in that hallway by the swat team and was able to direct them to exactly which room Paddock was in.

Supposedly, the swat team had learned where the shots were coming from by the person who had the room directly underneath, so they knew Paddock was one floor up, just not exactly which room until the security officer directed them.

Now, this does contradict an early report that they knew which room the shooter was in because all the smoke from the guns set off the smoke alarm in his room.
