Arlington Million P-4

American St. Leger S. Grade 3 -1 11/16 MILES

Keystoneforvictory - Defeated The Pizza Man in prep for this race on 7/8 at AP; 8 for 12 on Turf.

Postulation - will attempt to wire the field. Obscure trainer Ed Graham actually won the Arlington Million in 2014.

This is a very weak field field for G-3 $250k stake compared to last year's edition

The Secretariat Stakes(Grade I) - 1 1/4 MILES

Oscar Performance -
The best American 3-year old. Has a win at the distance, won $1250K BEL Derby, $1000k BC Jvl; bred for the distance.

This is a much better field than last year, but the Europeans are sub-par except for unknown horse Aflandem(Fr) who received RP(Racing Post) figure of 112, in comparison Oscar Performance got 114. The horse is owned by Al-Shagad Racing.

The Beverly D.(Grade I) 1 3/16 MILES

DONA BRUJA (ARG) - The horse is simply unbelievable.

HAWKSMOOR (IRE) - Overpowers competition

RAIN GODDESS(IRE) - 2nd to Enable

This is a very strong running of Beverly D, throw out Chad Brown runners.

The Arlington Million XXXV(Grade I) - 1 1/4 MILES

SCOTTISH (IRE) - 5th by 3L to Highland Reel in Prince of Wales; 3-5 distance specialist

MEKHTAAL (GB) - 5/6 in the money at the distance, lost to Highland Reel by 3 1/4 L

DEAUVILLE (IRE) 3rd last year, lost to Ribbchester in Queen Anne by 1 1/2L, 4 for 4 in the money at the distance

P4 2x1x3x3 $9

Other
Wheel exactas with Aflandem and Beach Patrol

After seeing the post draw.... I think Oscar Nominated will be tough in the million. Getting back to a more comfortable distance and should work a nice ground saving trip. I refuse to take a short price on any of the 5 outside runners. ON and Deauville seem the most likely winners.

Arlington program is out and their late P-4 will not include the Secretariat, instead Pucker Up Stakes will be included. Thus P-4 will now consist of races 9-12, which is not appealing to me because the race is made of really 'crappy' fillies.

I think I'll play the P-3 consisting of the Ledger, Bevery D and Million for $3 2x2x2 $24

I am going to use just Deauville and Scottish.

Oscar Performance looks like he's dressed up. Can I make money from simply tossing him, or will this require additional opinions?

I'm in full agreement. OP seems like the easiest toss of the day based on the prospective short price.

I'll most likely side with Taj Mahal. Getting lasix unlike the other 2 euros and getting 7lbs from the favorites.... Horse is coming in under the radar but seems extremely well meant.

Also think Kitten's Roar is live in the Beverly D.

Good luck to all.

Yeah I am not using Oscar Nominated.

Taj Mahal and Gorgeous Kitten at a price with Geroux on board.

Not sold on Dona Bruja. She has to do more than coast home against Prado's Sweet Ride to convince me.
