Arms Runner in the 8th has unlimited ability IMO. Watch the video. He'll go off at less than the morning line. Maybe 8-5
Good luck..

First race a mile in 1:40 and change? Quick early but nobody ran on. Unless the timing was wrong which is 50/50 these days.

Thoughts on Desormeaux giving up in deep stretch? Wonder if Trevor talked him into giving up.
Looking at replay he didn't do anything wrong

If handle numbers aren't close to 2013,14, or 15 they should be very scared IMO

Oh Andy I wouldn't worry--it's Hollywood Joe don't you know. Joe has a world renown pedigree in the grandest Hollywood showman traditions--De Mille, Mack Sennett, Zanuck, Jack Warner; the blood runs deep. Crappy racing, ridiculous take out, and "Dr. Bendoverman" for certain well heeled trainers--none of these issues results in anything a few $12 dollar beers, the scantily clad photo campaign, a few bong hitter concerts and some local media smooching can't "handle."
Joe is good that way.
Of course, Cecil and Warner and Daryl Z. are all gone now. And Del Mar will be soon too. But the tradition, that grand tradition, will live on--tan lines and all.

The card may have weak races today as CJ noted but the late Pick 4 has real big fields and I will be home from work. Plus Royal F J

Ouch!
Sent to list this morning.
Handle figure is likely ALL SOURCES. CHRIMS report comes out this afternoon.
If I really reach for excuses a couple of the causes of the big drop in attendance/handle could be Premiere Foods alienating Customers for too many years AND the most unproductive Congress in over 100 years. Health Care and Tax Reform were expected by now. The Comic Con excuse is B.S.
Having said that California Racing has specific recommendations and an offer of FREE publicity from Jockey Club (Americas Best Racing) and the NTRA to use California as a test jurisdiction for a Gambling Game of skill. No jurisdiction in the Country has been offered more ideas and solutions than California Racing.
We never quit,
A

Two terrible cards and a biased main track not helping the cause. I've wanted to play their races but haven't seen too many opportunities.

Yes, cards have been anemic. P. Millers horses aren't running at all. Gonna auto toss him till he wins one.
