Door Peep
And here's a cover of a Burning Spear song performed by, gulp, Sinead O'Connor.
Yep, that's her...no judging! Just listen
She did an entire reggae album (all covers) that is very good.

It's getting late, I know
https://youtu.be/ApAptlFJkhM
Longshot Kick The Bucket by The Pioneers, probably from the late 60's or so.
It's about a horse race at Caymanas Park in Jamaica...Race 1
It came down to Gay Blade, Combat and Carousel, with Combat being the longshot on the rail.
Combat fell...all me money gone a' hell
(please notice the Ska Madness poster in the beginning, more on that soon)

Speaking of two tone ska
https://youtu.be/cntvEDbagAw
A Message To You Rudy by The Specials....a pretty famous cover done by countless other folks, originally written and performed by Dandy Livingstone in 1967 during the rock steady era in Jamaica.
The Clash & Mikey Dread did not approve of this simple two tone ska/rock steady beat...

And finally...
https://youtu.be/hBX7X390gTw
Living In Fame...by The Clash with Mikey Dread on vocals, from their Sandinista album.
He's calling out all the big two tone ska bands in England at the time (1980 or so) like Madness - The Selector - The Specials - Flying Saucers and others.
The basic message is that The Clash kicks your ass
(he's right)
goodnight

Have to see Widespread this summer, saw them with Houser and have seen Herring in other configurations. Would love to go to Red Rocks but unless I hit the lottery it probably wont happen.
