Geroux off strikes again for the winner. An angle to watch for sure. I should have crushed that race. I was too mesmerized by the favorites blowout debut.
Had a small saver exacta as those were my 2nd and 3rd choices, but missed opportunity.

Bad card today
can't be bothered until tonight or tuesday, when I go through the charts and replays.
a mix of the usual problems haunting NYRA (lack of full fields on the dirt(erroneously pretending that '7' is a full-field, dirt-route full-field is a blargin unicorn, card stretched-out with uninspiring turf races such as the 5.5f varieties) added to the reality of it being a Monday card in a race week better suited to using a monday's worth of entries instead on wed-sun to have a few less 6,7 horse fields from wed-sun.
There are two logical handicapping pattern races on the whole card. Both fairly cheap turf mile races, both have the same gimmicky pattern.
R6 = has possibility to be value. = You have to have enough interest to cap the race, and then if you are lucky it will match the 'overbet Pletcher in a turf clm' angle. If you are fortunate in that regard, then you get a decent price in r6.
R9 = basically the exact same thing. good luck.

Yup
I played a speed horse in race 3 (who did win but was not best with gold rail) but there is just is not much.
I like the 3 a bit in the 7th.

Both Pletcher underlays happened to lose (r6 and r9)
The pick-4 was an unplayable long-term loser, in what was just an awful sequence, even with two known underlays.
The exacta wagering for races 6 and 9 was playable.

Eric Cancel has been riding well but his ride in the 3rd seemed like he left his little brain in the paddock.

BEHOLD
Friday's card has a full-field dirt route.
Apocalyptic, I know.
Granted they did schlep 3 longshots posts 7-9, which nullifies any potential advantage of knowledge of the post position bias. And it's a 16kn2L. Don't buy the farm just yet.
